The most important feature of the poker game is bluffing. Bluffing is a form of strategy, wherein players try to convince other players that they have the best hand. These players are allowed to fold, discard, and make a bet in the hope of convincing their opponents to fold. Once all but one player has folded, the game is over.

Among the poker variants is the three-card brag. This is a quaintly named game that originated in the U.S. and is still a popular gentleman’s game. The name is a play on the name of a similar game, Primero. Like most games of the time, it uses bluffing as a means to sway others to act in one’s favor.
